  Hi all, the committee of the SHGCL have taken the decision to cancel the league meeting this coming Thursday, 2 February. This decision has been made due to there being relatively little information we need to pass on to clubs, anything we do have we can communicate to you by email. For those clubs who have silverware from last season, these can either be returned to one of the committee members (please telephone or email beforehand to make sure this is convenient) or you can drop them off at our committee meeting on Thursday 23 February, 7.30 at Aurora. As the cup finals are early this year we need these cups back by the end of February at the latest. If anyone is struggling to return the cups to one of us before the end of February please contact me to make alternative arrangements. I have attached the minutes from the last committee meeting and a financial statement will follow shortly once the latest bank statement has been received by the treasurer. Good luck to all teams in the cup semi-finals this weekend, the finals of the SHGCL cup are 17 March at Graham Solley Sports Centre for the U9's mini tournament and the U10's to U12's age groups and 24 March at Gosforth Fields for U14's to U18's age groups. Registrars will contact the finalists shortly after the semi finals to make arrangements regarding kick off times etc. The next league meeting is 5 April 2012 at Aurora Sports Club, the AGM is the month after on 17 May and the League presentation nights are set for 25 and 26 May at Barnsley Metrodome, more details on this to follow shortly. I hope the above is acceptable to everyone, any problems please let me know.

  Due to the number of postponements recently, it was agreed by the League Committee last night and sanctioned by the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA that the season is to be extended to Monday 30th April 2012 instead of 31st March 2012.

• Semi-Final Cup Draw - posted Fri 2nd Dec @ 09:37:27
  The draw for the semi final of the SHGCL cup was made at the league meeting last night. All fixtures are now published on the FA website and will take place on Saturday 4th February 2012. The league will appoint the referees for the semi finals and it is the responsibility of the HOME team to pay for the venue and the AWAY team to pay for the referee. Good luck to all teams involved!
